Haven't had a chinese for ages, but it used to be beef in oyster sauce with singapore hot noodles or special fried rice.

Curry sauce
Unfortunately Chinese minge is very rarely shown on the menu.
Shame, as has a silky texture and tastes delish.

Sweet and Sour Chicken Hong Kong Style
Pork fried rice.
Shared between the wife and I. Lovely stuff.
Generally prefer take away Chinese, eat in Indian.

Crab meat and sweetcorn soup
Garlic prawns
Quarter of a crispy duck
and either a chow mein or a special fried rice.
Hadn't had one for a couple of years until new year's eve treat and it was 8 quid more expensive than last time!

if it's just me and my gf (which preferable it always is):
house special chow mein
sweet and sour chicken balls
szechuan king prawns
egg fried rice
the chow mein gives a wide array of meats on a sloppy noodle bed, like a taster menu dipped in a bucket of gravy. the chicken balls give that dirty deep fried MSG hit. the king prawns bring a delicate touch and make me feel like i'm not a total degenerate.

added to that i EXPECT complimentary prawn crackers. if i don't get them i wrap a note saying "taiwan is eternal" around a brick and sling it through their window.

I use to love a Chinese but not that bothered now, Indian is better and maybe even a good Thai.
